Het probleem is wat hardnekkiger dan gedacht, waardoor het fixen hiervan wat langer duurt. Nog even geduld, zodra er nieuws is, laat ik het hier weten.

In dat geval duidt de foutmelding erop dat GemistDownloader het bestand GDfetch2.dll niet kan vinden - dit bestand zou automatisch moeten worden aangemaakt als je GemistDownloader opent. Mogelijk heeft GemistDownloader niet de juiste rechten om dit bestand naar je temp-folder te schrijven, hoewel Mono hiervoor zou moeten zorgen. Maakt het verschil als je GemistDownloader met adminrechten runt?

Ik heb het nu getest door als root in te loggen, maar dat geeft dezelfde foutmelding.

Goedemorgen,
Allereerst bedankt voor dit prachtige programma. Ik werk met een MBP op Mountain Lion en heb alle stappen uitgevoerd zoals beschreven.
Echter, als ik een uitzending van VPRO Tegenlicht invoer, dan sluit het programma af en laat de terminal een hele hoop tekst zien, van waaruit ik begrijp dat er foutmeldingen zijn. Helaas is mijn kennis niet technisch genoeg om uit te kunnen vogelen wat er precies aan de hand is.
Is er toevallig iemand die hier wel wijzer van wordt en mij op weg zou kunnen helpen hoe ik dit op kan lossen?

EDIT 08.11.2016 13:00, overigens had mijn mac niet de folder /usr/local/bin, wel /usr/bin. Ik heb zelf de folder /usr/local/bin aangemaakt en daarin het ffmpeg bestand geplakt. Zou het hiermee te maken kunnen hebben? Ik heb ook al geprobeerd om het bestand in /usr/bin te plakken, de folder die vol staat met bestanden en al bestond.

Het lijkt erop dat je hetzelfde probleem hebt. Dit probleem lijkt niet te maken te hebben met de locatie van FFmpeg. Ik ga normaals proberen het probleem te reproduceren, dank voor jullie geduld.
